Laureen is a 500HR Certified Yoga Teacher who knows that when we move well, we live better lives. Besides being a yogi, Laureen is also unapologetically & ridiculously obsessed with food, explores the world on planes, trains & automobiles, loves being on the water in her kayak, trail running, & swimming with her Masters Team. In early 2018 she also decided to learn how to downhill ski because when you're terrified of heights & hate all sports that involve speed, what better fit IS there than a little alpine challenge *insert eye roll here* ?!? It's a steep learning curve at 45 years old & the jury is still out on this one...

Our bodies are built for movement & they need to be nourished & moved on a regular basis. Laureen is using her years of teaching experience and training to create Corporate Yoga Programs, Private Sessions & Small Studio Classes that make the practice of yoga accessible to everyone. This is more than a job; Laureen is on a mission to inspire people who think they can’t do yoga to have better health and wellness by doing yoga. This very old practice has very real modern day applications and essential tools that can help make our lives healthier and happier. And we could all use a little more healthy and happy sometimes.

Laureen has been teaching yoga classes since completing her 200HR Teacher Training in 2010. After completing her 500HR training in 2012, she went on to complete specialized training in therapeutic yoga with Susi Hately through her Kinesiology of Yoga and her Yoga Therapy Intensive Teacher Training in 2014. Laureen continues to expand her knowledge and experience through ongoing trainings, workshops, and attending the annual Yoga Conference in Toronto.

HLK Therapeutic Yoga exists to inspire health and wellness through yoga, an ancient practice that has very real modern day applications. This is achieved by leading yoga classes and therapeutic sessions that focus on stress and pain management, improved range of motion, and building flexibility and strength. We practice effective breathing, relaxation, and optimal movement to help people move and live well. Services are delivered in private, corporate, and small group classes to ensure a personalized approach that enhances participant’s health and wellbeing.
